These are all defined. By using at the left-hand side of an expression in all cases except for the load. The load is another way to define an assembly-time variable.

P.S. Well, and except for the right hand side of the first line in the fifth example, because redefined variables cannot be forward-referenced.

In case of the forth example the variable is defined but not correctly resolved. It is possible however to give fasm a hint about its correct value.
