Is it possible that you could be polling for the wrong interrupt, then? If you aren't getting the IRQ to and your PCI drivers are okay, then this could definitely be a possibility.

Well, possible, sure, but not likely, since I have routines setup for unhandled interrupts and those aren't firing either. The routine uses the boot drive information then sets up the ISR, just like with the floppy, so those routines are working as expected too.

An odd thing is that now the VirtualBox machine now doesn't detect the correct number of drives on the IDE controllers. I will dig into that this weekend likely.
