ok, it's fine for you, but, IMO, better set "S_IRWXU or S_IRWXG or (S_IROTH or S_IXOTH)" for "the rest"/reatail. if you want others but the "owner" to able to use the app - note thay if you compile something as root - you won't be able to run it (unless you like to live darring- login on as root per default, something I doublt you do Wink)

It's like perl - there's more than one way to do it Smile (some are equal other just do the same under certain circumstances).
