Hi all.

There are two big news:

I.

At the end I was managed to pack the next work version (probably buggy, but with new important features).

You can download it here: Fresh download page

The main new feature is that now it is possible to create visual forms, to save them and to compile them with the project. See: examples/VisualTest/forms.fpr for simple example of such project.

There is total lack of some useful features in the visual editor, but at least it works.

The project is at the point where we need more people involved writing code. There is a big need of improvement to the property editor to make visual editing more convenient. The debuger lags behind, and so on.

On the other hand, the main architecture problems are solved now and I don't expect some general changes for the near future.

II.
I implemented in the Fresh site my content management system, that make adding new content very easy. Also, design is changed to be similar to http://flatassembler.net

Of course any opinions about the site or Fresh are highly desirable. Smile

Regards

Hi John,
I didn't have enough time to test new release... anyway here are some findings:
First, when I just started working with visual form example that you provided, Fresh crashed. I still can't reproduce that situation Confused
I don't like one thing about editing forms: when you create or open a form, you don't see it. you have to click at the property window to make it visible. Then it stays "always on top". It isn't very handy. But, at least now I can't think of any better way of handling this Smile
But anyway I was able to do my normal work with this version Very Happy
And I noticed that Fresh still uses the same macro library, and in another thread you wrote that you were trying to create new mecros for defining strings etc. How's that work going?

Now my opinion about the site: I like the design, maybe those first letters (bold) are unnecessary IMHO. And, there's a small problem: when you go to different sections, the width of left menu changes (which is really annoying).

regards

Hi decard.

Is that mean, you were able to compile the example on the second atempt?

I don't like it too. Wink btw: You can use F12 to show the form and you can close it from [X] button (it will become only hidden).

There are macroses for defining string constants (macro constStr in globals.inc), but I switched off the checking for repeated definitions, because it slow down compilation twice, giving only 100..200 bytes smaller executables.
About stdcall library: I am thinking about it, but there is a saying: "If you don't know what to do, better do nothing." Wink

It definitely will be fixed very soon.

Actually it crashed when I was moving components and changing their properties, I didn't notice any problems when compiling.
