Hey, I've been searching around stuff for a while but what exactly happens when you type "Public class <classname>" in java? Does anyone have anything referring to the file format of .class?

You can find the complete description of the format in the JVM Specification. There is also an example I once made that demonstrated how to create the .class file from scratch with fasm's macros. I also converted this example to the new fasmg syntax and it is one of the samples included in my initial fasmg package.
