how true are those generated colors? idk, most people thoughts are brownish, sand, stone when you ask them about Mars.

That depends. Humans perceive colours differently in different conditions. Cameras can have responses to EM radiation that is outside the normal human eye capabilities. And the mantis shrimp would likely have a much different perception of what the "true" colour would be.
