Hey, so I have been interested in why you guys have started the assembly language. Comment below how you got here! Here is my story:

So I was a bored person looking on youtube for "How to make a game" when I came across: "Make a game in windows with notepad" so I watched that and it was to do with batch. So I made loads of successful batch files until one day, when I was finishing an application, I checked my email and one person said I should check out the assembly language. The computer I was using at the time was 32 bit, so I looked up assembly language tutorials and found some by a youtuber called khoraski. He was doing 16 bit tutorials. I watched all of them, and that is when I made a command line processor, a drawing application and a text editor. When I had made those, I realised that I couldn't do anything with them on 64 bit so that is when I learnt the portable executable header. That is where I am today.

Just as an old saying said in Chinese , "The greatest truths are the simplest."

Back in college days, I took assembly programming elective. I FAILED. That should explain why I kind of developing some bad sentiment with MASM now. LOL. So these days, I take up assembly programming again just to settle the score. Kinda revenge. hehehe

I wanted to write assembly apps for the TI calculators (Z-80) and ended up learning a "wrong" assembly dialect. No regrets ever since. Smile
