I am allergic to installers. The following article illustrates part of the reason.

So go ahead and try it yourself. They are all top recommended programs so it should all be good. Right?

And of course when a website claims that all of its software is malware/spyware/adware free then of course we should believe it completely and unquestioningly. They would never lie to us. Right?

Good points, revolution.
However, just decline all bundled crap and it should be ok.
In the article they used all the default options, and by default - all crap is installed.
More attention required during the installation.

When a website is prepared to lie about what is contained with the installer then I am not prepared to trust that all the tick boxes do as they say, or that there are no other hidden things added that do not have a tick box to disable it.

I think a better solution than going to one of these scammy download sites is to go to the original source. While it is still possible the original source will have unwantedware at least you will not be adding to the pain with an extra wrapper installer that adds even more unwantedware on top of the original.
