I mean, c'mon. Razz

after goin thru those FASM internals (doesnt matter if you understood them or not), there must be some questions popping up in your head like 'why can't i be that good?' or 'why do i become more idiot everytime after reading tomas's macros'. I mean there must be a valid measure for comparing yourselves to tomasz.

In my case, I feel like i am a planet beyond pluto that is yet to be discoverd by astronomers. That's the distance between my skills and tomasz's. Well???

More than 15 years of serious ASM coding gives skills.
You have to become master ninja to get to his level.

I like macros too, even the most complicated ones, but my goal is productivity, and i am willing to sacrifice some performance for it, so i code in C mostly and with macros, with as small as possible ASM hacking, because it is time consuming (and non portable).

15 light-years? HAHA!

Tomasz is a legend! That's a valid measure for sure.

A lizard comparing itself to a bird. Sad because it can't fly. Wink

I think the Chuck Norris reference is apt, in a way, since this thread appears to be humorously exaggerated just like the Chuck Norris jokes. Smile

I think Tomasz is an intelligent programmer, good design, execution and technical accuracy, "perfect" naming (if there is such a thing), smart code that reuses itself. I wouldn't compare myself to him. We do different styles of programming that are complimentary.

If I look at l_inc's code, he seems to have a good clear understanding of FASM internals and great potential, but he's not masterful like Tomasz. That comes with experience. It's funny how he argues with Tomasz like father and son. Sometimes, Tomasz needs to put that disrespectful kid in his place and say...

"WHO'S YO DADDY?!" Smile

i think this one is not valid because that makes me a **star** in astronomical definition, which I am not Laughing

Mr tomasz, you being a legend is no exaggeration. But if you want to learn about kong foo, it is either from me or Chuck Norris Laughing
