Yeah! live and kicking... and trying to devote some time to asm development. The main problem is that I have to make a living out of a non computer related job.
A secondary problem is that I got distracted by a raspberry pi and node.js

However, I still keep an eye here on a (near) daily basis.

I have bean playing with windows 8.1 and Fresh and found a bug with windows 8.1 that affects Fresh. In file explorer, when I right click on a directory it takes a few seconds for the explorer to respond and give the swirling mouse icon. So with Fresh I opened a file just like before but this time waited and found that there is that same delay or two to three times longer. Fresh looks like its hung but it is in fact waiting on the file system for some reason. and this is so pronounced that it make Fresh unusable because you can not even scroll the text without the long delay.

BTW, did someone tried to run Fresh IDE in "Compatibility mode" on the affected computers?

Yes I just tried it wind window 7 compatibility mode and XP compatibility mode. In compatibility mode there is no status on the progress bar and nothing happens, it just hangs there. No response when you open the same sample.asm file that I copied to my documents directory. I opened and edited this file with both Notepad and Notepad++ to make sure it was not the file. Its the path and a bug in windows 8.1 file system. Windows 10 is coming out in a little while. or maybe we could contact Microsoft and tell them to fix there broken stuff.

I think I found the problem. Only 1MB memory is going back to the DOS days of computing. Razz
