Can't execute FASM from *buntu Terminal?
Maybe this'll be useful to someone:
After downloading the Linux Package, when you execute it from the terminal like:

This should work, however the terminal does not treat it as an executable and you may get:

However there is a workaround.
Tell chmod to force it to become an executable (i.e. remove read-only permissions) :

I thought it could be useful to someone trying to bang their heads.
EDIT: Small Header as pointed out by revolution.

Check your tgz extractor program. Does it copy the permission info also?

BTW: Why the big shouting at size 24?

I used Ubuntu's archive manager, so yeah it seems that the permission info gets lost somewhere.

i know it's a minor thing, but linux has many shells and they are unrelated to the file system or terminal
