Recently I quit my job and I decided to start my own... well, I wouldn't call it "business" really, just doing things on my own. In fact, I plan to spend some time on projects that may not generate any income, but are simply the things I really wanted to do and now I may have the chance to try.
This may include fasm 2 (or even bizarre projects like Challenger 2), though I won't promise anything. For now I decided to supplement some of the documentation projects I left in unfinished state years ago. Today I updated the Understanding fasm with a few new paragraphs and I plan to finally get this text to the end I initially envisioned. I also expanded the "Complex Solutions With Simple Features" section in the Design Principles article (because I always felt it was a bit too short) and added some additional clarification to the "Same Source, Same Output" section. I also believe that I really should continue the work on my programming tutorial, though I need to think a little more about it. Over the years there have been at least a few people that encouraged me to go on with it, perhaps I should dig up these messages for an additional incentive. ![]() |

If you don't mind answering, what kind of job did you quit?

That is why I prefaced my prying question with a throat clearing.

I'm going to continue some of them, since I still need some income. But now it is on a different terms. PS You can find my modest business card at niewidoczna.pl. |

system error wrote: Tomasz, please write an official book on FASM + Assembly programming. That's the only thing missing from you as a creator of a programming language. Understanding FASM + Design Principles + Tutorial + Docs isnt that we call a book already? How about a book entirely on macro processing or compiler writing? Correction: should be Assembler. No offense to anyone. ![]() |

I would say the documentation is definitely more than enough and written at a very easy to understand level. On the other hand, I think a little book could be written on advance macro usage and explaining the macros included with fasm. You could probably write an even bigger book on general deciphering of other peoples' macros. If you can take a look at a macro written by someone else and have any idea of what's going , then you sir are a magician.
