Cool
Is it possible to create something like flat assembler without any other programming languages such as C++ nor any other languages including flat assembler itself.

If possible, I would like to know how flat assembler was created in details.
Are there anyone that is concerned with that as I am? That is the very power of programming.

If you could image the how-to, please let me know.

p.s.
I have poor knowledge about C++ and flat assembler.

1. In the beginning was code, and the code became a compiler. And behold, the compiler knew itself that it could compile itself too Very Happy.

2. Its descendants were the famous MenuetOS and other unknown creatures wandering about on storage mediums.

3. On the last day, the creator said, "It is good" (or maybe it evolved from a fish. Wink )

If I'm not mistaken, the first (or several first versions) of FASM was build using TASM.

You may want to take a look at this:

RTFF: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=2530 (section D)

AND YES, the very earliest assembler (8008 ? 4004 ?) was created by hand coding using a printed instruction table.

No problem. FASM doesn't depend from C++ Very Happy
