I've written dynamic linker and small media player for MenuetOS that's able to play MPEG1 files. I've also implemented dlfcn.h functions that are available under Linux, so your programs can now open DLLs. Menuet DLLs are COFF files. FASM is also capable of creating such files. You can create asm app and you can use parts of C stuff such as malloc/free/realloc, loading dynamic libraries, opening files by handle and other things, but you have to keep C calling convention if you want to call those funcs.
