Anyone hear about the story of Justin Carter? Sad Sad This kid made one sarcastic comment on facebook and he is now being charged with "making a terrorist threat" and could be sentenced to 10 years in prison, worse than murderers and rapists... while the real criminals run free. This poor kid didn't do anything wrong. Millions of people make worse comments online.

He spent several months in jail. An anonymous person paid $1.5 million to help Justin and he is currently awaiting trial Sad I hope the case gets dismissed.

US legal system is so fucked up. You're guilty until proven innocent and they don't need evidence to convict you. If you can't stand up and defend yourself, you're fucked, they'll throw the book at you for nothing. What can we do to change it? Nothing, there will always be idiots in positions of power.

matefkr comes here and talks about child pornography and how he loves little girls. Although I think it's the sickest subject imaginable - if he were here, he'd get his ass beat (wouldn't call police) - the bottom line is this: Thinking and talking about something is not the same thing as doing it. What a person does in the privacy of their home is no one else's business, as long as they're not causing real damage to anyone else (more than just being offensive). It is illegal whether we agree or not. In US, you can get 10-20+ years in prison just for having one nude image on your PC if the woman looks under 18 (that's how they decide whether you get one day or 100 years: flip a coin, spin the wheel). I had a friend who was dating an evil vindictive bitch. I warned him about her when she was threatening to call police and make up shit, scream rape. When he tried to leave her, she put porn on his PC (of women who look young), called the police and had him sent to prison Sad

Wish I could leave USA.

by the 'community'?

You're forgetting that I have freedom of speech, as well. I speak for myself and do not represent this "community".

no no no , I was not referring to you as this 'community'. I was saying that the parties involved in condemning this individual wer the 'community'. I believe your indignation is righteous.
