I've searched on this forum and I can't find anything that tells me how to make a SYS file for Windows NT 5.x.

I managed to make FASM compile a SYS file, but I can't call any functions.

The help files lacks info too.

What would be nice is to have templates for all PE formats, templates that can be compiled and run, but does nothing but return to the caller.

It seems that there are different ways to import functions.
I'm confused. Sad

Is there info on how every single directive works, and where it should be put?

problem is what is .SYS file.

SYS extension was used in dos, and these are simple COM or EXE files, still used in NT for DOS emulation. Then windows 95/98 used VxD drivers, which were LE files, unsupported by Fasm. Windows NT / XP uses PE i think. There is also some kind of driver that should work on both systems.

I've read that thread... but there's no comments in the code... and they doesn't get it right from the first time.

What I'm looking for are templates and tutorials that shows me the basic things, step by step.

And by SYS I mean those in Windows 2000 and upwards.
