Use smaller icons then you can fit more. And if they are then too small to see them then buy new spectacles.

I'm sure after fitting more in that you can then post again to show off how many you could get in there! hehe

I would post my desktop but it would be boring since it is totally devoid of icons or pictures, it is just a plain black empty space.

My taskbar currently has twelve icons and even then I only use five regularly and the other seven occasionally.

I don't like having too much unused stuff lying around on my screen. Just the stuff I need is out there, the other stuff is accessed through the menu. That way I have more room for active tasks to show me things.

If you can read this without spectacles then there should be no need to have such large icons.

Actually that looks more like a launch bar rather than a task bar. There appears to be no room for it to show running tasks.

Group your shortcuts together, one group per folder, then add the folder as a toolbar.

"Share your task-bar" or "Share your WINDOWS task-bar"?

Please, be more specific. Thanks!

Where else do you hear the word task bar?

Actually I cleaned up a little and used revolution's tip and now I even got more room. Very Happy

The funny thing I noticed is when I take a screen grab the start button is hidden. Surprised

taskbar = a group of short-cut icons?

maybe we should get some new ideas on how to execute programs in year 2013.

@sleepsleep
What do you mean by a new way? You mean the way executable programs are loaded in memory then ran?

i was thinking like this, but since you ask about this after a month, maybe i kinda forget the initial idea.

but let us talk about future, coming 10 years.

all cloud based, u want it or not.
fast internet across globe. 10 MByte / second minimum.
OS / program is possible to boot through internet.

we go back to big cloud/framework idea.
then different type of internet in each cloud (control by big companies or country)

program == block of instructions that perform something by itself, or by calling another block of instructions.

maybe a something called GLOBAL programmer DLL calling will get release, it is asm API based, (maybe they will start some hardware based solution)

a 3D game will get replicate into real 3D, so you just pan the camera to play instead of calculating everything to get it real, it is real in one sense, it exists physically in tiny molecule level or whatever dimension you name it, but it is something physical.

like building the whole game inside an organism.

program will become a game, you could monitor, enjoy, view the whole bits / bytes flowing,
debug will become history, like you can't build faulty thing with correct exact tools.

information == freely available
knowledge == learn, remember about using information
experience == the total stuff you gather while messing with knowledge

AI will program the future programs, based on how the users use, how many users use, and so on, AI will transform the information learning into, identify, solve, verify.

i guess i talk too much, it is bs until someone make it reality.
