04 April 2013 - Noam Chomsky - 'Language Use and Design: conflicts and their significance' Hosted by the UCD School of Philosophy at the Royal Irish Academy, Dublin.

Over an hour of deeply insightful Q&A! Even though I believe there is a contradiction between his negative notions of data driven methods and the limits of introspection -- they complement each other and I think he would be able to see that. Methods need to be applied intelligently and not haphazardly - which puts the importance in the right place, and is probably the basis of his position.

I believe that all human languages are "human-complete", i.e. they are all able to express the same complete range of human thoughts, although the expression may become very cumbersome in some cases.
