idsoftware is just giving a blank page when I browse it's store ...
I found Doom and Doom II on a french abandonware site: Doom 1 - http://www.abandonware-france.org/ltf-jeu.php3?id=166 Doom 2 - http://www.abandonware-france.org/ltf-jeu.php3?id=233 And as fasm9 told it you can find ports of Doom (didn't look for Doom2) on sourceforge ... |

Since ID is still selling Doom II, (download only) it's not abandonware.
There seems to be a problem with the www.idsoftware.com site, but this does NOT mean that DOOM II is abandonware. |

Shareware == Shareware, the first episode of doom2 was distributed as shareware iirc. And it is perfectly legal to use that wad in any doom engine.
I still can't get menuet doom to work tough (probalby a problem with my fat32 partition not being the first one) |

You can change te place of your fat32 partition on your hd with the setup util..
