I am stuck with this manual.

Do you know what the circled parts are saying?

Sorry for the poor quality, it is the best copy I have. Sad

Best I am able to get is this:

Google translate gave me this:

板载继甩器控制共用此引脚
- Share this pin onboard Following the rejection control

外接急停开关
- External emergency stop switch

诙功能为可进,驱动板上如果配置才有效
- Humorous is the driver board configuration to be effective

I think the second one is perfect. And it matches the note someone added about E-Stop.

For the others I can get a vague idea but I might have transliterated the characters incorrectly and thus got the wrong translation.

1。板载续电器控制共用引脚

2。外接急停开关

3。该功能为可选,驱动板上如果配置才有效

3. the feature is selectable if only the board got that particular device.

May I ask you a question, what kind of method did you use to make a transliteration of this Chinese text? I suppose you may use some OCR software / online service or, eventually, IME editor. Am I right?

I know that there is some kind of "alphabet" in Chinese, a poem made of 1000 different most important characters (http://www.yellowbridge.com/onlinelit/qianziwen.php). This may be used too but it's very unlikely that revolution used it because, as I suppose, it could be too time-expensive. Rolling Eyes Wink

What is COCR2 ?

COCR2 is a small experimental (and free) Chinese OCR. It recognizes more than
10000 characters (traditional or simplified) and accepts 3 different fonts :
Song, Kay and Hei or similar. The recognition rate reaches 99% and even more for
good quality scanned texts. COCR2 is still experimental. It has not been
designed to replace commercial applications. Its major limitation comes from the
fact that it doesn’t perform any text segmentation. So the user has to select
himself or herself the characters to be ocrized with the mouse cursor. However
it remains quite useful to process small texts.

Installation

There is no installer program (not yet). If you load COCR2 from the internet,
you normally receive a zipped archive file named COCR2_100.zip (100 is a version
number). Please unzip that file on your hard disk in a directory (for example
C:/Program files). Unzip will create a directory COCR2_100. You may want to
create on your desktop a shortcut to the executable file COCR2.exe. COCR2 is
clean with your system: the registry is not modified. Only a small file
(COCR2.ini) is created in your Windows directory to store setup. Of course a
Chinese font has to be installed on your system to use COCR2. This can be done
for example by installing the Chinese language support in Internet Explorer.
Various Chinese fonts can also be found on the Internet.
I won't give a download link because goog (just search for the zip file "COCR2_100.zip") can find many links to this, and for virus protection you should probably download 4 or 5 copies from different places and compare to make sure they are all the same.

I had to edit the source graphic to space out the characters and to improve the contrast. It still gave some problems with characters it just couldn't recognise and I made some manual drawings in paint to give it a better chance of finding the right character. But without any understanding of Chinese writing I didn't know what I was doing. Normally I can wait till I am in Asia and I can ask the locals there to read it for me, but this time I won't be travelling to Asia for some months and I couldn't wait so long.

Embarassed Now I am embarrassed. I never though the WP spinoff would have a page for this sort of thing. I should have looked harder. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the explanation revolution. Smile I've installed COCR2 and tested it on the same piece of Chinese text you provided. As you said, the effects are far better if the ideograms are separated by properly widen spaces because in other case graphical cursor can include parts of the neighboring characters what causes an improper recognition.
