I noticed on the download page's firstboot link for MenuetOS that there is an issue with systems using shared memory, what is that all about? I was planning to use MenuetOS on my old HP Pavilion 6343, it has only 32Mb RAM with 2Mb shared video memory, I would hate to mess it up.

Don't wait. Just try it out. Really! Menuet has not "messed up" any machines (here) to date. Fact is they continue to run on & on .

(* Stability has been superior to our previous (Windon't) configurations.)

A reboot will clear anything (messed up). You might just disable the shared video & install one of the recommended vid cards .

* That is IF you cannot use the hardware on the HP as is.

We've tested MeOS on various machine types and have found that
video support is the best for VESA 3 cards. VESA 1.2 & 2.0 works on some machines beautifully and on some with less functionality.

Good Luck !

WOW !

It worked really well. For someone who has only used Windows, Menuet is a nice change. Thanks for the encouragement.
