I'm trying do debug so old protected mode code under DOS and I'd really like to skip setting up two machine environment for remote debugging (my beloved Periscope/32 is great example of such setup). I used to have SST debugger somewhere which could handle the task on single DOS machine but I can't find it. Would somebody here be kind enough to post a copy of it? Despite additional manual which used to be sold separately the software itself was a freeware.

Thanks in advance.

Debugging it in a virtual machine is not an option?

Iirc, both vmware and qemu support GDB based debugging, and dosbox can be recompiled with (very basic) debugging support.

That's another option indeed and I've been using both qemu and VMWare actually in the past together with IDA Pro with a sucess. However since I'm working on the old code of mine I'd like to get the feeling of the past. This is why I'm looking for this particular debugger and considering using Persicope which is also long gone.
