Clearer than what? Have you enabled/disabled anti-aliasing? Font size and typeface will affect things also. Monitor settings can make a difference. Colour selection mist be considered. And also remember about the psychological effects some have towards/against certain OSes.

what operating system are you comparing to? and what X toolkit are you using? By using ClearType on MS windows systems,I don't notice much difference -- except for MAC OS x. But I'm not sure if still MAC OS is better than new MS windows systems like the 7 and 8 versions.

EDIT: LOL looks like that I got it wrong. I was thinking "clear" in the ClearType-sense. Embarassed

Its just seems to me when I see type letters and graphics it all looks better and more brilliant, cleaner, and finer just overall better quality than compared to windows. So I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and why this may be the case?
