If you want to have a progress bar. Either parse wav file by yourself to get the length or use the provided interfaces(dirty but efficient) on MSDN.


Then when you press play, you start a timer with 1 second interval that updates the progress bar until stop is pressed.

If you don't want to parse the file, then play the file in Synchronous mode and wait for it to finish then stop the timer which will then stop the progress bar.

This is solved, I use an external player.
Yes I could program a player by myself - but for what ?
There are maybe 100 or more different "players" on the market. Wink
