Recently, a secret FBI agent's laptop was hacked by (who else) and they obtained a list of Apple's Unique Device Identifiers. This list (CSV), owned by the FBI shows big brother is right next to you. Each UDID links to the owner's phone number and address and other info.

The data is encrypted and is accessible. The link below explains how to obtain and decrypt the data.

Whether or not the data comes from a FBI laptop is disputed - could just as well be from a hacked app developer server.

Personally I would have expected a hacked FBI list to be either a lot smaller (and more targeted), or a lot larger than a mere 12 million UDIDs.

You did not read the whole thing.

This (leaked) is just a part of the whole list. It was truncated.

I did, several days ago, and I also grabbed the file.

The leak is one-million-and-one UDIDs, with some data removed, whereas the full list is 12 million with some additional data. 12 million UDIDs is a drop in the ocean compared to the total number of iOS devices out there, yet a really large number if it was to be used for a specific operation.

Also, keep in mind that antisec has an interest in disinformation, in order to make it harder to track them down.
