Quote:

Dmitry Itskov, a Russian billionaire and media mogul, is betting that money can buy eternal life.

Itskov's 2045 Initiative, which is trying to make immortality a reality, launched its own political party in Russia last week: Evolution 2045. Though Evolution 2045 is based in Russia, it aims to create "a new stage of human civilization" throughout the world.

Itskov founded the 2045 Initiative in February 2011. He has brought 30 top Russian scientists on board and plans to create an international research center devoted to study immortality.

Stupid arrogant bitch. Why not humble himself like Steve Jobs.
I'm staking my penny (yes, a penny because that's how much he's worth) that he'll die this year.

At first, I thought it was about physical immortality... until I saw this picture:

So, your brain is transplanted into a robotic body.
Somehow reminds me of The 6th Day

Confused

The guy speaking in suit is long dead but his essence still lives in a machine using technology he stole from an alien race (Ceph).

i don't see any reason to against this,

in fact, i think it is a good chance to show other human that we are actually living in matrix or we can create a reality that we can put ourselves into it.

we will discover how and why we are conscious, how to import / export consciousness, which is good imo.

It reminds me of a Star Trek book I read a few years ago.
Picard met a woman - she lived for half a million years.
She had nanites in the blood.
Cool book.

Believe in Jesus and immortality is a free gift. Cannot be bought because the price has already been paid.
