I think I found a small bug:

input:
Code:
format ELF
public blah    


output:
Code:
flat assembler  version 1.69.44  (16384 kilobytes memory)
Segmentation fault    


expected output:
Code:
flat assembler  version 1.69.44  (16384 kilobytes memory)
error: undefined symbol 'blah'. you dolt!
