... for writing a photo-uploading program !

The Iranian authority accuses Mr. Saeed Malekpour for "acting against the national security, insulting and desecrating the principles of Islam, and agitating the public mind"

I guess that would convince me that Islam isn't my cup of tea

Yeah, I saw this story a few days ago. I am sure there is more to it than is being told.

And certainly Iran's idea of justice could perhaps be improved a little. I am uncertain whether or not that is because of Islam, but whatever the reason, if you are ever in Iran try not to "act against the national security, insult or desecrate the principles of Islam, or agitate the public mind". sentenced to death because he was convicted of having
designed and moderated "adult content websites."

No reason to twist the facts to make the 'justice' system in Iran look worse then it is. It's bad enough at straight up face value

The guy was beaten until he had to agree to sign on the "pre-written confession" that he moderated on "adult content websites".

Fact is, even if the guy did that, does that mean Iran has the right to kill him for that?

Or to you, human life has lost all its value, that the state can take away the life of anyone for any reason?

There is an experimental idea. Which can be prooved usefull. But maybe they did not sentence him to death, but till death (so he survives till death in a prison), or maybe even smaller punishment. news tend to actually bend information more towards something supporting hatred or love or whatever towards certain groups and such. News also used to fill in vague information with made up details. If some of you realy have enough payment to have vacationas or whatever, then please ask your boss to have some days off and travell to iran just in order to know them more and make videoes. also whyile there check if the person realy gets too big punishment, and ask for contacts, so later u can find the accused person, after it uturns out not to be an execution. Though maybe it realy is sentencing to death, but seems irrational, in that case ask for life inprisonment of that person, so he can live and has limited freedom of communication with outside world (just enough to keep him fine, and able to work). But the us/nato gonna invade iran soon anyway, whatever is the case.

There are a very small number of things that I think the state maybe should be able to kill people for. Porn isn't even close to being one of them. I'm even more shocked that so few have a problem with the US president ordering drones out to kill people all over the world. Some of who hadn't taken up arms against the US and hadn't even done any thing that would have been a crime in the US....
