That guy's either stupid, because he just shot a laptop he paid for, or wrong, because he shot one someone else paid for.

He could have at least (maybe he did) gotten a cheap plastic cover that resembled a laptop not the laptop itself. That valuable realestate (I mean HDD space, screen area, CPU etc.) could have been used for other purposes (a backup laptop for himself).

Too bad the situation already has gotten out of hands. Raising your kids is a tough task.

Considering he said he works in the IT feild for a living, he probably has a backup laptop, and his company may even supply him with a new one for his work if they need to. I know my uncle gets a new one anytime he needs one. (Well not always on the spot, I think he had to wait almost 2 weeks once, but he had a working one so he probably wasn't a high priority.)
