Has anyone coded an aim substitue in fasm yet? I would be really interested in seeing the code for doing so..

there's an icq clone in progress.

Since icq and aim uses the same protocol (though there are some differences), I think you would not mind looking at faim.

Yeah, I had already checked it out.. Is there like some RFC to go by or something? I would really love to have a lite version of AIM.

It is not documentaed by aol. Instead it is documentated by others using re or by analysing the packets sent and received. The best documentation is probably http://iserverd.khstu.ru/oscar/
