WinCE is Soft real-time......

Dose hard real-time data fetch -- mean -- MenuetOS use interrupt serviced I/O?

If any one out there do this before, please drop some words or lines, especially on RS-232 or Printer port

Bingo ! Answers needed.

Exactly what syntax and code is required for

1. identification of active port addresses LPT and COM
2. activation of ports & interrupts.
3. reading a byte from the printer or com port
4 writing a byte to the printer or com port.

an example would be appreciated.

I added an example for communicating with a device to pre 5.1g - rtdata.asm.

In short, Menuet has real-time interrupt handlers in kernel to read data ( definable by app ) from device at irq, which also triggers an event for application to respond.

Thanks for your Directly_Working_Sample_Code, RTDATA.ASM.

RTDATA.ASM is very close to my need, and I think all other PORT will be the same way to GetIn&SendOut.
