pondering these lately.

everything seem so fast, i can't control my thoughts, desire, emotion etc.

who is boss? why you reading this? why you continue to read my sentence?

what is the point after you read my sentence and you forget about what i said afterward?

am i the conscious who is fully aware what are happening around me, able to take part and decide outcomes? Or

am i the third party slave who got no authority? is all the given responses base on what i see, feel, breath, hear which they rarely ask for my mind permission?

what is the point if i cannot choose what to remember and what to forget?

i just take a long breath, as usual, it occurs without my permission in advance.

if meditation is about control all the viewable physical first then lastly control ur thoughts, maybe everybody who dislike to be slave should start meditation.

it is hard to control even ur pair of hand, it scratch here and there without permission.

when i close my eyes..in a quiet room, when i think inhale, then my breath got to listen to me, when i think exhale, then it exhales as long as i think i want to exhale.

only this moment i somehow feel, i am the boss.

Answer: Needs; the need to be someone else. The moment you reach that goal, you still want to move to a next level.

It seems like that was programmed in our consciousnesses.

Why do you want to feel as the boss?

I disagree with "need," however, as how can we then separate our "wants" from our needs? The separation is often necessary for our survival, but how could they do that if they were the same thing?

Dude, survival is a need.

You need to survive so you can do whatever you want to do. I thought about it before I was going to say survival then I used the word need, since everything falls under it.

The need to eat, the need to find a potential partner to mate with. Very Happy

Do i truly need a partner to mate with? And if so, what of homosexuals? Is the act of having sex the need, or is it the creation of a child?

Why do i need these video games? I clearly want them, but how do i need them? What makes me choose certain ones over another?

Good sex goes closely with good relationship - does not matter if the couple is gay or straight.
There is a strong connection (and don't ask why, 'cause I dunno...).

As for games - every game exhibits the different qualities.
Like strategy or a FPS - they are different on a fundamental brain level.
Different brains have different experiences and therefore addiction to
certain type of a game.

Remember that we humans have different behaviors and preferences.
Some people are "right brained" and some are the opposite.

Maybe that little creature you like makes your dopamine go flushing through your whole body and you end up feeling good and that could satisfy your brain/exercise it or make it more active than your previous state of mind.

Well, how do you not like that pink bundle of joy? Laughing

Ok, for the harder one. What need does suicide satisfy?

so, what cause the "needs"?
is that

then who is the boss? it means there exists algorithm
Quote:
It seems like that was programmed in our consciousnesses.

that makes us "desire" or "needs" and they work above our "conscious".

so, is that "desire" or "need" to detach from this algorithm is part of this algorithm objective?

Quote:
Why do you want to feel as the boss?

because i feel like i am like a slave when this algorithm work above my "conscious".

or i put it in another way, i feel like "i" am not a complete "i".

the ideal is the algorithm can only works above me if i allow and authorize it to works above me without my supervision in a way that it exists as "i".

I'll own my own when I find the perfect woman to produce offspring with.

Isolation from your troubled mind. In case of suicide bombers that's another story.

@sleepsleep: How can you meditate if you are not the boss? Why would the boss give his power up to hand it over to your consciousnesses, Personally I have always felt in full control of my life. Everything I want I make the choice. However if you look back on your choices and ask why you made them, when they clearly may have not been the best, then you do feel out of control, because you cannot change the past after viewing the outcome.

To sum it up, you act upon desire. Different types of desire, maybe love, hope, dreams, or just survival..
Desire determines our actions, personality, emotions, and shapes our future.
If you would like to know where Desire comes from... it's about as controversial as how the universe began, you'll never find the answer.

i think it is not "you", it is the algorithm above you,
human could act even without desire and without knowing what desire that coz him/her to act that way.

This "algorithm above you" has been called "instinct". You don't need to search the source of this force outside yourself, because all your automatic actions have been imprinted in your genes. If you like metaphors you can describe it as a "call of the Nature". Wink
