big brother introduction
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JQuery

Quote:

<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script>

$(document).ready(function() {
// jquery goes here
});

can link the jquery js file hosted at google libraries api
http://code.google.com/apis/libraries/

to mark the HTML object (div, table and etc)
you use the id tag.

eg. <div id="blablabla">div content</div>

to use it in jquery
it is

$("#blablabla").width();
will get us the width
to set it

$("#blablabla").width("40");
will make it 40px

i think, it just kinda cool.
i learn it from here,
http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/default.asp

will use it for my coming projects
Cool

This is definitely cool.

I'm looking forward using HTML 5 + jquery for the front end for my apps.

HTML 5 has powerful stuff like WebSockets and SQL.

Imagine the possibilities:
HTML 5 + jquery for web based GUI.
C++ / FASM / Python / whatever web server for the backend using sockets.

Now run the backend on your desktop and the front end on your tablets, smartphones, etc and access you apps everywhere.

HTML 5 WebSocket:
Code:
socket= new WebSocket('ws://www.example.com:8000/somesocket');
socket.onopen= function() {
    socket.send('hello');
};
socket.onmessage= function(s) {
    alert('got reply '+s);
};

You can also use javascript in the server: node.js
