The user is a beginner and for now he use dos function...
IF YOU USE DOS FUNCTION YOU MUST UPDATE THE CURSOR WHEN
DISPLAY STRINGS...
No, he does not need to use the cursor-moving function. Did you see my short reply in sixth post of this thread? (Well, it really kinda gets lost in the long and mostly off-topic posts here). Only one line of his source needs to get adjusted to get the result he was looking for.

It is also a beginner lesson to write a string directly to the videoram, to prevent an output in a new line. And your are not the one who have to tell us how we have to learn a beginner lesson.

Open a new thread and teach us to write directly in Videoram.. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Do you really wont a new thread for every answer if the methode to solve a problem vary a liitle from the other answers, example new threads for the same problem to prevent an output in the next line?

Can you tell me the reason for to do that and why you don´t start a new thread by yoursel, if you are so intersiting in this methode?

I'm not a boy, I'm 43,

Not a problem.

I'm not interested to use dos funtion or not, but the user has decided to use the dos functions.

But only because he do not know an other method, else he never ask for to fix those problem.

The user did not ask how to write directly to video RAM,

The user also never ask how to set a cursor position.

anyway you are out of context,

If you want to ignore the method to write a string to the videoram. OK do it by yourself. But don´t wait for that somebody follow you on this way.

It is a functional methode to prevent that the ouput of a string appears in a next line!!!

...following blurb deleted...

If you have any questions, then you can ask, maybe in a new thread.

Dirk
