IMHO, it sucks. They're trying to push a non-customizable interface on the Desktop market, while it may only be suitable for tablets.
By looking at Windows 8 screenshots it seems they're targeting tablets more than PCs too.

For this reason I switched to Xubuntu (Ubuntu base+XFCE).

I think Ubuntu ruined its chances by releasing Unity. I'm seeing major migration from Ubuntu users to either Linux Mint or some other distro.
It's a pity because Ubuntu was close enough for representing Linux with a user friendly interface.

It's cute. But actually I'd still prefer the classic GNOME.
BTW XFCE is also an excellent choice.

I agree... It is not ergonomic, not very fast, but stylish.

I prefer my custom and lightweight openbox...
