You can use fasmw through wine.

I was hoping there were something native X-). Is soft-spacing something unique to the Windows platform?

Although I am not sure what you mean by "soft space". |

Kind of hard to explain, but you can write stuff anywhere and the spaces are inserted when you save the file; you don't have to insert spaces manually. This also makes indentation smoother.

I've been trying several editors and IDEs for X, but none of them behave as fasmw. For instance, [tab] does not indent, but inserts tabs.

The upcoming Fresh 3.x is based on FreshLib and thus will be portable at least to Win32 and Linux. So, the Linux version will be native X application and Win32 version will be native Windows application. FreshLib for Linux does not use any GUI toolkit, but XLib. [/offtopic] |
