Argentina: Judge orders all ISPs to block the sites LeakyMails.com and Leakymails.blogspot.com

And of course, my ISP already applied the filter. Well, leakymails.blogspot.com is still reachable actually, but unfortunately they blocked it in their DNS servers and since the shitty transparent proxy uses them I'm redirected to a pseudo-"not found" page (even though I use 8.8.8.8 as my DNS server precisely to avoid such page when I mistype a domain name)

but shit, is it legal?

Here is a song for my Argentine fasm friends:

Don't Cry For LeakyMails, Argentina
Quote:
... The truth is I never left you

All through my wild days, my mad existence

I kept my promise, don't keep your distance ...

The content of the site, was/is leacked mails of polititians, judges and businessmen.
If I sea the site without knowing it's blocked, I would think that someone take a joke of making false emails to a high level but now I have dubts if they are really false.

They blocked the IP yes. Also, I think they removed the DNS restriction on leakymails.blogspot.com now but since that page redirects to the blocked IP it ends up useless anyway.

Time to start using Tor. As an extra, you get slower internet, lots of child porn and even more govt-run exit nodes Wink

It can be easily bypassed with any proxy service, most are recommending http://www.hidemyass.com/ which even works in non-SSL mode. The only thing they did was to complicate access to all the sites hosted in that IP (when they should block leakymails only), and cause the Streisand effect, as it is usual in these cases (I was unaware of leakymails myself until I've learn about the censorship and apparently it was being ran for about a month and even mentioned in a very important news paper here)
