RANDOM.ORG offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet. The randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs.

The service has existed since 1998 .... and I find it only now XD Embarassed

Hehehe Laughing They claim that everything that can be calculated by formula con not be random, I'm shure that atmosperic noises can be calculated too(of course by highly complex formula), and there is nothing random in the world)))

Some random generators (Mersenne Twister, as an example) pass Die Hard tests of randomness and if they do - they generate numbers of enough quality.

No they are not. They are based on events. Wink

NIST has a tool and standards for testing RNG http://csrc.nist.gov/groups/ST/toolkit/rng/index.html

When I was creating PROE for my college thesis I used it along with Die Hard to verify the PRNG I was creating. http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=6518
