they built pyramids because it is easyer than build a giant statue of any pseudo god. then, it becomes a pyramid.
can you just imagine what would be the size of a statue representing a god if it is made with the same amount of stone as a pyramid?

we can theorically have something like a 300 meters high statue, that is something completelly impossible to do for early (and maybe actual) humanity.

then, we build pyramids, then, castles, then, catedrals, then, 400 meters buildings... and maybe one day, a 1 kilometer statue representing edfed (me), just before sculpting an entire planet in the form of a very pretty girl, with a lot of secret entries. Smile

It has a special geometrical structure that a) is very stable and relatively easy to build and b) points towards the sky (gods).

In Egypt. Mesoamerican pyramids were used for sacrifices, among other things. And mesopotamian ziggurats were used for worship and ceremonial purposes.

Of course. How can we know precisely how something was done thousands of years ago if it was not (or poorly) documented?

let's call it classified and move on to something like fuel efficiency in vehicles.

typedef:

take two moleculas of water, H2O
put them in a strong electric field
take the resulting 2H2 and O2
put them in a combustion chamber
compress with the piston
explode with a little sparkle.

you have the water fuel cell explained in 6 lines of standard ASCII plain text.

Yes, but as always there is a catch - the energy needed to decompose 2 molecules H2O is bigger than the energy you get when burn 2H2 and O2 back. Sad
There are only two types of energy on the Earth - the solar energy and the nuclear energy. Every other type of energy is simply accumulated solar energy.

wouldn't the two's 2 molecules burn up/get destroyed before they even got to be used. i mean why 2 only. and for how long can you have 2 molecules of water and oxygen. oxygen extracting device? ok

There is also geothermal energy, which is partially nuclear, but also partially generated by gravitational forces (like during the initial collapse when the planet was formed). See how Io heats up because of the tidal effects. The tides caused by Moon also heat up Earth a little - this energy comes from the kinetic energy of Earth's rotation, as it slows down because of tidal friction.

Agree, I overlooked it. But as long as the solar energy is actually nuclear, so we still have two types - nuclear and gravitational. Wink

And nuclear happened because gravity pulled the gas together into stars (or stars blew up, making uranium).

About pyramids - what would the people in the XXX century think about why were 100 meter statues built in our time and which God-with-sword was it about?

This statue will not survive to the XXX century. Your liberals will destroy it in the next 10 years (probably with arguments about safety). Razz
Such statues needs regular support and restorations because such constructions are unstable by definition. Should I explain you that any support of this statue needs political will at first place?
The pyramids on the other hand are stable by definition and can survive without support very long times.

because there were different civilizations in different time zone, and they built stuff like pyramid as if it was some kinda common stuff in our past.

then they use some high quality, high precision, and facing it to different region sky, then some weird accurate pi.

PI in pyramids comes from a fact that builders used a rolling wheel to measure stuff, like "200 wheels to the east" - I read it somewhere as a debunked myth of Egyptians "knowing" PI value. They used wheel to measure, so if you divide some sides - you'll get values, like 2*PI or 3*PI or something like that.

Piramids are easy to build and due to their shapes stable.
