Hi I am working on a project to prove the usability of "aged out" tech and possible uses for the less fortunate with the open source movement. One of the machines that I am using in the study is an IBM l40sx and I need a floppy os and I am using menuet. The problem is that it has minimal ram(4mb) and I think that the demand for the color graphic is causing a reboot. How can I alter the os to accomodate for this? Is it possible? The idea is to start with a simple text editor. But yipee!! I dont know if the HD works on the unit that I have for the study!! Ultimate test of the os I think in a diminutive closed enviroment. I feel strongly about this project! Does anyone know how this might work?
