last year, i used sometimes tightvnc. very good software.

it is cool, and needed for the real communication.
but is a big security problem, the connection is better when no security is active during a vnc session.

rdesktop, teamviewer, logmein, tightvnc and there's also radmin and much more Smile Or you can even use RAT-s (Remote Administration Tool) or like most people say, Remote Administration Trojan. It has lots of functions and you can control PC more than with other applications.

%SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exe, it's free and works well.

"free" is debatable Smile, and it's got a number of limitations, especially when not on a server OS... but for single person connecting to a machine, it's pretty decent.

Is there anything that has similar performance to Windows' built-in Remote Desktop Protocol? Even Ultr@VNC with a GDI mirror driver feels sluggish compared to RDP.
