Remember when we've told Vista wouldn't run nothing but .NET/WPF?

Now lets talk of a single feature of Windows 8 which is not even well documented yet and try to make it appear like HTML5 and JavaScript is the only way of programming! http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2011/06/html5-centric-windows-8-leaves-microsoft-developers-horrified.ars

Oh, no, be better try to port FASMW to HTML5 soon Razz

They talk about the NEW API, for windows 8...

The "old" api won't be avaible anymore? I mean, theres no way the old programs won't run on windows 8.

My guess is that if you want to use the new api, it will only be posible with html5 and javascript. (in either way, helarious.)

It's a shame no one understands Microsoft. It really cares about Windows developers. It doesn't want them to get bored. And anyway, learning new stuff every day of your life makes it all the more interesting.
Hopefully Windows 9 will come with the integrated MSBrainfuck™ VM. Twisted Evil

Don't worry, MS cares for you. There will be no "disable JavaScript" option in Windows8. And say thanks it is not VBScript. Twisted Evil

i'd prefer to forget everything about computer science and return to a more sane world, something like arts, garden, girls... get bored about this computer world, where everything is decided somewhere i will never go, by people i will never meet. why do we care so much about their world, it's not our world, it's their world, and we are just invited in. even if coding asm just for fun.

then, let's go to use the fasmw hammer, but now, to explode the computer physically.

since computers exist, the life is very boring, nothing to do in the real world, everything is virtual. now, you cannot talk with somebody in the street, he/she is glued to some smartphone.

bored about technology.

fuck off.

If you're so bored with technology, why did you come to this forum to post that message?

Well said edfed, that's why I switched to composing.
Art is timeless, you set the rules there.
Unlike the technology world nowadays, where you have to follow set paths, with final destination? reinventing the wheel..

The more the technology evolves, the more it becomes something.. undefined.

but franckly, it is reallyt a problem, technology is a real problem, because it is claimed as a solution to everything.

exactlly like in older ages, when everything was the responsability of GOD, now, everything is the reponsability of Technology.

when will the human being stop to be a dumbass? never?

we can compute, invent, etc, but we are always so dumb.

and if we cannot express our opinion, just because it is an opposition to the topic, we can at least tell we are not agree with the turning of events about technology.

like ever, one task is given to a unique entity, and this entity is responsible of everything about the task.

lets say, humanity (6 billion people) is ok to give M$ and apple the total power about computer, ok, then, means that apocalypse should be true in order to stop this bugged planet. everything here is bugged. stop it, wait some billion years, and perhaps it will be recoded without bugs.

I dont think that Microsoft or Apple are the leaders in tecnology.
What i mean is that windows or ios is not tecnology but mostly like a piece of that.
Intel, Amd, NVidia, Ati makes the tecnology, they make the instruments... Microsoft is just a bad composer for those instruments. Like the Jonas Brothers or Britney Spears.

edfed, I was taught the technology is always an instrument, not a goal. Also, the human species existence always was connected with the technology.
Now, the big problem of the mankind is that in most countries, the technology is advertised and represented as a goal by itself and as long as it can't be a goal - the people feels a big gap in their lives - they miss the meaning of their lives.
