So, here become an idea to organize the next "Fasmcon 2011" in Bulgaria.
The preliminary conditions are:
Place: Bulgaria. Probably some small country town (most likely Koprivshtitsa) or as a last option my town - Plovdiv
Time: The end of the summer. I am not sure whether I will be able to organize all for August, but September for sure.
Duration: One weekend Friday to Sunday.
Program: Fun, Talks about FASM and assembly programming, some food and beer.

Today I hinted the Fasmcon idea to our IT department manager and they possibly will sent some audience to listen to the conference talks. Of course if the idea is implemented and if the conference is open for spectators.

Please, give me your opinion on this idea. Who have some intention to attend? Possible program variations... Any thoughts...

How cheap? From Varna to Burgas for sure there are many public buses, especially in the tourists season. The distance is 130km and the price is probably less than 10 euro (maybe 6 or 7).

Yes, unfortunately. The flight from Toronto to Sofia (and back) will cost you at least $1500 (CAD). Sad But there will be web cast, so you can attend virtually.

One question: What internet speed and what hardware we need for good, live web cast? (Actually I am fully incompetent in this topic.)

Webcasts were always handled by HyperVista, who doesn't seem to be around anymore. I have zero idea about it.

4 people for now. Come on people... Smile

What about the reports. The subject of my will be something like: "The portability of the assembly written programs - myths and reality." or "Writing portable assembly applications". Very Happy

Right now all I can give you is 'maybe'. I hope this will change in the coming months.

one day i will join this Fasmcon Smile

i wish there are topics to discuss how to make this fasm assembler more popular, more easy for people to use, more ideas to do things differently, and the ultimate goal of Fasm, what section of users are targeted.

maybe some sort of live tutorial/demo on "easy" way, "tricks" to live develop a medium complex application?

live debug (maybe with some other tools) to solve some of the usually encountered problems.

looking forward for the webcast Smile
