My office has a Windows-based network, consisting of 30 PCs.
I have to install the same applications on those PC.

I'm looking for the easiest way, without using remote desktop or installing manually per PC. Is that possible?

You mean "unattended installation"? I remember this was offered as option in some tools that customized installer packages. The one I used was some .net app, but I can't remember its name for the hell of it.

to deploy windows XP,
if these 30 PC are of same hardware, then you just need to format 1 pc, make it final, create an image file out of it, put it in a PC and share that drive.

then u got 2 ways,
1, create a live sabayon linux pendrive, boot it partition drive, then copy the image file to it, then run the software to put the image to the pc.

2. if u use software that support ftp / windows drive map, then u could just load the image file from the pc.

then u just need to use live pendrive, boot each pc one by one to manual job the cloning image task from the finalized pc.... after that, everything settled.

Assume that there's a server which contains all the installer, I would use this script (Linux):
Code:
#!/bin/sh
while read line
do
  ssh root@$line 'mkdir mount user@my.server.com:/srv /mnt/server'
      ssh root@$line '. /mnt/server/install.sh'
done < iplist.txt

iplist.txt
Code:
192.168.1.10
192.168.1.11
192.168.1.12
192.168.1.13
192.168.1.14
192.168.1.15
192.168.1.16
192.168.1.17
192.168.1.18
192.168.1.19
192.168.1.20

which means 192.168.1.10 - 20 will have all the same apps installed.
I don't want to build the "unattended Windows", because Windows is already installed on those PCs. I just need to install apps like Open Office, Firefox, 7-Zip, etc.
If I'm not mistaken, you could use net use or net share, but I didn't remember the details Very Happy
