according to this:
http://bochs.sourceforge.net/techspec/PORTS.LST

port 0x462 is an nmi port. write of 0x80 should trigger nmi.
its not, why?

According to Ralf Brown's ports.lst, that is for an EISA bus.

according to bochs, its nmi. And i use bochs for testing. wtf?

i do not understand a few things.

- how cpu reset is done? Is it possible for external device to reset my cpu?
- how can i trigger NMI?

Reset is easy to do, the CPU will have a dedicated pin for it. Older cases would have a button on the front panel that would activate the pin. Newer cases now omit that button Sad You can also force a software reset with things like "triple fault" (google it). For NMI, check your hardware, they are all different in how they do it.
