Hello there!

Confronted with a problem i couldn't solve yet, i'm kindly asking for your help.

My goal is to generate an Entity-Relationship-Diagram (ERD) as a graphic by using the graphviz software.
graphviz visualizes graphs, the input is a text-file. With some tweaks here and there it is possible to use graphviz to generate ERDs, but the syntax becomes ugly and unreadable. So i decided to define a metalanguage in which the ER statements are done, and this metalanguage should be converted to graphviz-language-statements.

My question now is: do you know any converters or tools that allow to define an own set of rules for conversion?

Thank you for your help in advance!
