Things like this happen occasionally. Just ignore it.

It seems that the bots are exceeding Tomasz's SQL usage limits, which is probably set by whoever owns hosts his SQL server. The 75,000 means it was queried 75,000 times in the last hour.

Ugh. Well, it keeps doing it and if the bots are doing over 75k queries in an hour that explains why this board is so slow in responding. Felt like a sluggish cpu on the server but I see now it might be, or also be, a sluggish db thanks to the bots.

I also got the same error. It sucks!
![]() Was it somehow related to google bots? ![]() |

I am not getting any SQL error but have seen it many times in the past. Though I never experience slow forum responses. This remains one of the fastest forums I visit.

The second slowest for me with the worst one being wxwidgets forum.

Yep, I was coming here myself to post the exact same response.
I already was trying to post a response to another thread and after 5 attempts I simply said frack it. Just beyond annoying. |

IMHO, you should remove this "H" and to put more detailed explanation for the human users, because many will got confused with this system. It looks very standard and no one will read the small letters text. |

The spammers are also humans - at least it's human that registers the account for his pet bot that later posts spam.
This board already used some tricks to make automated registrations impossible without doing some dedicated web form parsing - bot usually post the form directly, without even loading the page, and I really doubt someone would write a dedicated bot for this single forum. Thus I have good reasons to suspect that those spammers that were left are the ones as described above. I thus want to confuse the humans that have nothing to do with the topics of this board anyway. |
