hello fasm dev staff ( i don't know for now if it is a multiple coder project, or only tomasz's job)

there can be an interresting feature in the -r option.

then, only make it:

fasm file.asm -r (or else keyword)

to compile and execute the output, in only one command.

Probably best to do externally like ass0 suggests.
Suppose the intended app is for diff platform...
Then all hell breaks loose.

when i mean optional, i mean that you are not forced to use it, as the -m option parameter (that i never use, always maximum)

edfed's 1st post seems to be acceptable: it appears fasm's author is chasing simplicity applied any platform the tool is run in. An obligatory side is a command line executable taking some parameters equal an OS to OS, afaik. Fasmw, as an exception, supports edfed's request through f9 hot-key but it cannot supersede target. That's where 2 differences seen.

Mind we may not include run commands into source file: "compiling i do not expect smth to be run" <- looks revolutio who the author.
