You probably mean a .pif (Program Information File), because there are no "links/shortcuts" in DOS.
Or maybe you mean creating a Windows .lnk file under DOS.

MSDN knows much about Microsoft-related things. Google search gives link almost immediately.

Probably you've missed this part from ly47's post: (DOS). Heh, we're in DOS subforum already.

CreateSymbolicLink() is Vista+, HxDOS apparently doesn't support it. Wink
