Are there anyone having a short example of Socket programming with Fasm using the wsock32.dll-library in Windows? For example a small http server og something like that, which you could share the code of.

I'm trying to learn the basics of network communication, and will therefore be very thankful for some help!!

Isn't wsock32.dll winsock 1? I do not have experience with writting a http server but I had my experience in the coding of a client for icq from the ground up. If you want, take a look at:

After studying the faim-code and other codes (among them C++ codes), I have at last managed to make myself a simple server! Smile
I have skipped all the error checking, which probably not is a smart thing
to do in real programs, but I think the code is more clear to understand
without it.

The server waits on the port 10 until a request arrives.
Then it shows the client's (the one who requested) message,
and send the message "This is From Server!!!" back to client. It closes afterwards.

I have also just made a small home-page with my small codes,
and I would appreciate feedback. Either positive or negative! It still lacks good commentation, and the little bit which are there,
is in Norwegian, but it will be better soon.!
It can be found on http://home.no/ruun/fasm/ . Please have a look!!!
